Introduction
The department of Sports was established with establishment of this College on Oct.1991. This department is the integral part of Jawahar Arts, Science & Commerce College, Anadur, Tal. Tuljapur, Dist- Osmanabad in this rural college, there are many students who have been learning Sports. The department has faculty-member Dr. Umakank Salgar, (Head). Physical Education & Sports acquired importance in the present century of Globalization, Privatization & Liberalization. It plays role of human development. It plays the role in overall personality development, as well as to develop the one’s physical, mental, social and healthy wellbeing.
The department motivates the players and includes good habits among the We also try to create awareness about social work and dignity of labor and encourage student to become sincere and patriotic. The department tries to maintain the sporting sprit and moral among the sports student team.
Sports department celebrates National Festival with enthusiasm and spirit to create national spirit and integrity among them. Physical fitness and mental health are our prime priorities to keep sound mind in a sound body. So students exercise regularly and practice a variety of games and sports activities as per schedule.
Respect and hospitality is maintained throughout the college campus by each and every person of the department. Sports department works hard to create competent and versatile players. Though college has a background has created National, State and Inter University Tournament level players.
